Eliot Bronson | Blackbirds

“Sometimes there’s a man . . . well, he’s the man for his time and place.”
–From the movie The Big Lebowski, which you probably didn’t know is about Eliot Bronson.

This Eliot Bronson fella?  He’s good stuff.

I could talk about Eliot for way longer than you’d probably want to hear.  To put it simply, he’s the best friend I’ve probably ever had or could’ve ever hoped for in my life.

Eliot and I played music together for seven years in a band called The Brilliant Inventions.  It was awesome.  And to keep going with the ultra-simple vibe, The Brilliant Inventions are no longer.  I do hear there is a pretty awesome all unicorn The Brilliant Inventions cover band out there though.  I need to try to catch them . . . .

So anyway, Eliot still rocks, and as I type this he is finishing up a solo record called Blackbirds which is going to be totally rad.  I just can’t wait to hear it.  I shot the photo for the cover of the album.  That’s it back up top.

I’m so proud to be able to contribute to Eliot’s record, and I love the picture we made together  near a graveyard on a freezing cold, super windy Sunday at the beginning of the year.

More to come when the record drops (that’s what the kids say, right?).  Enjoy!

Thanks, Susan! He just happened to have all these fake blackbirds, which is awesome considering the album title…

When Eliot started his blog, I thought to myself what a great photograph it was as a header. It truly is a fantastic image! Well done!
